This evening, Indian indie get’s it’s time in the spotlight at the Jack Daniel’s Rock Awards, set to take place at Mumbai’s Mehboob Studios.
Leading the field are indie godfathers Pentagram, nominated in seven categories for the ode-to-Mumbai album Bloodywood. Not far behind are two Delhi acts – extreme metalheads Undying Inc. and alternative rockers Menwhopause with six nominations apiece.
The evening will see Indian indie pioneers and legends Indus Creed perform, just weeks before they release what will be their first album in sixteen years. Also performing are multiple nominees Sky Rabbit and last year’s winner for Best Vocalist (Male) Ankur Tewari with his band The Ghalat Family.
