Jacob Collier Returns to India for a Three-City Solo Piano Tour in November

The Grammy-winning multi-instrumentalist will perform in Mumbai, New Delhi and Bengaluru via SkillBox

British composer, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Jacob Collier keeps his promise to return to India, as news of a three-city solo piano tour in the country comes four years after the Grammy-winning artist performed two sold-out shows at the National Centre for the Performing Arts in Mumbai in 2019.

This time around, Collier will go solo with a piano, guitar and keys, among a few other instruments for a more intimate but no doubt intense 90-minute plus set in Mumbai on November 3rd, in New Delhi on November 5th and in Bengaluru on November 7th. The India tour — produced by ticketing company SkillBox and presented as part of their event series LiveBox — is part of Collier’s larger world and Asia tour being undertaken in the coming months.

Tickets for the seated shows are divided based on sections, ranging from Bronze at ₹1,999 to Platinum at ₹4,999.

“I feel like there’s this whole new adventure to be had, over in that part of the world [in India], because I’ve never been there my whole life,” Collier told Rolling Stone India when he visited in 2019. He had said towards the end of the interview about visiting the country, “If I don’t end up staying after this show, I’ll want to find the time where I can come without the thing of working and just come as a human being and explore and run around. India is such a rich place in so many ways and I want to do it justice when I come and hang out.”

Collier arrives in India during a particularly busy week for live music that will have fans spoiled for choice — the inaugural edition of multi-genre festival SPXCEJXM with Bastille, Kodaline, Ali Gatie and more takes place in Mumbai and Bengaluru on November 4th and 5th, while Mahindra Independence Rock for fans of heavier music takes place in Mumbai the same weekend.
