Jared Leto Denies Allegations of Sexual Misconduct in New Report

Nine women, including some who were minors when they first met actor/singer, allege impropriety in Air Mail report

Jared Leto has “expressly denied” the allegations of sexual misconduct toward women, including minors, in a new report.

Nine women, including some who were then underage when they first encountered the actor and 30 Seconds to Mars singer, spoke to Air Mail about their experiences with Leto.

One unnamed woman said she entered into a texting relationship when she was underage — “Do any of the little boys you hang out with fuck you?” she said Leto texted her — and that that things turned physical when she became 18. On one visit to his home, Leto “suddenly pulled his penis out and started masturbating. Then he walked over, grabbed my hand, and put it on him. He leaned in and said, ‘I want you to spit on it,’” the woman claimed.

Model Laura La Rue told Air Mail that she first met Leto in 2008 when she was 16 — he was 36 at the time — and, despite knowing her age, still asked for her number. A year later, when she was 17, she’d begin visiting Leto’s home, and on one occasion, “He just walked out, dick out, like it was normal… I thought maybe this was just what adult men do.”

(“Their communications contain nothing sexual or inappropriate and Ms. La Rue later applied to work as Mr. Leto’s personal assistant, further underscoring the absence of anything inappropriate in any of their interactions” Leto’s rep told Air Mail of La Rue’s allegations; La Rue denied applying to work as Leto’s personal assistant.)

Rumors of Leto’s impropriety have long been whispered about, with Air Mail resurfacing social media allegations made by women including a Los Angeles DJ named Allie Teilz, who in 2012 wrote on Facebook, “Youre [sic] not really in L.A. until Jared Leto tries to force himself on you backstage… In a kilt. And a snow hat,” and later wrote, “I was assaulted and traumatized by this creep when I was 17. He knew my age and didn’t care. What he did was predatory, terrifying and unacceptable.” (Director James Gunn and actor Dylan Crouse have also openly accused Leto of misbehavior on social media.)

In response to the Air Mail report, a rep for the actor said, “All of the allegations are expressly denied.”
