Jin’s Variety Show Dreams Come True in ‘Kian’s Bizarre B&B’ Trailer

The Netflix series featuring the BTS member alongside Ji Ye-eun and Kian84 premieres April 8

Jin is ready to cause some chaos. Alongside Ji Ye-eun and Kian84, the BTS member stars in Kian’s Bizarre B&B, the forthcoming Netflix variety show premiering April 8. The unscripted series follows the trio as they open their very own bed and breakfast in a building complete with a rock climbing wall and two slides leading into the ocean.

In the first official teaser trailer, Jin puts his customer service skills to the test. “As they open their doors to friends and guests, the trio navigate the hilarious highs and lows of hosting for the first time,” a synopsis of the series reads. “Expect plenty of laughs, relatable mishaps, and heartwarming moments as they figure it all out.”

The show takes place on the island of Ulleungdo. Kian’s Bizarre B&B will kick off with its first three episodes on April 8 with subsequent episodes premiering on a weekly basis for the following three weeks.

The series has been a long time coming for Jin, who first expressed interest in starring in a variety show on his own nearly three years ago. “I thought about going on a variety show to make myself happy, not for the group or because of my popularity or for work, because filming those shows might put me in a happy mood,” he told Weverse Magazine in 2022. “There are some things about variety shows that are tough, of course, but it’s also a chance to laugh your head off on set all day.”

Kian’s Bizarre B&B follows Jin’s online-only variety series Run Jin, which launched in the days following the musician being discharged after completing his mandatory military service. He hasn’t put music entirely on the back burner, either. Last month, Jin premiered “Close to You,” the theme song he performed for the drama series When the Stars Gossip.

“I’m hard at work on my new album,” he told WeVerse Magazine last year prior to releasing Happy. “Fortunately, the guys all finished making their own albums before enlisting, and now Jimin’s is coming out. That made me think I better not wait too long to release mine after his is out, so I’m working to get it done fast.”
