John Mayer Gets His Own Wonky Hologram

Inspired by Tupac at Coachella, Mayer goes digital in this parody

Published by

Earlier this year, John Mayer was forced to cancel his touring plansas his throat condition returned. In this College Humor video, Mayer gets his own hologram to perform in his place, inspired by Tupac’s “return” at this year’s Coachella festival. Mayer watches a rehearsal by “Tron Mayer,” but malfunctions, glitches and programming errors expose the avatar as a wildly incapable replacement.

Mayer’s latest studio album, Born and Raised, was released May 22nd.
