The event dedicated to K-pop, food and culture will take place on October 28th in Bengaluru
India gets a new open-air festival dedicated to K-pop, food and Korean culture with K-Wave, slated to take place on October 28th in Bengaluru.
With early bird tickets now selling via Skillbox (who have started the IP) at ₹1,499, K-Wave Festival promises K-pop artists, dance-offs, curated K-food experience zone, flea bazaar, cocktail bars and dessert bars. Lineup details are expected in the coming weeks.
Taking place at Jayamahal Palace in Bengaluru, Skillbox’s K-Wave Festival aims to capitalize on the Hallyu Wave, catering to fans of K-culture in its different forms.
A press statement from the organizers cites IFPI’s Global Music Report of 2022 and says that India is the world’s sixth-largest consumer of K-pop music, pegging the number at 15 million “fans of K-culture” in the country.
The organizers add, “K-Wave will not only cater to superfans of K-pop. Its inclusive curation brings in food, beauty, dance and art. The festival is open to all ages and early bird tickets are out now on Skillbox. Artist lineup and other announcements will follow in the coming weeks.”
