Formerly known as Kanchan Daniel and friends, The Kanchan Daniel Band is a blues rock band formed in 2012 by singer Kanchan Daniel. The band comprises Mukesh Lobo (Keyboard), Aditya Bhide (Guitar), Sahil Shah (Drums) and Anand Kamath (Bass). Their music is blues/jazz with soulful vocals, catchy bass hooks and blues guitar licks. They gained prominence after a  jazz rendition of songs  such as Nirvana’s “Smells Like Teen Spirit” and Lady Gaga’s “Born This Way.” The band has performed at various gigs in Mumbai including Kino 108, Blue Frog and High Street Phoenix. The band has not produced an album as of yet but has released singles online. Their influence range from Jazz legend Ray Charles to iconic rock and roll band Led Zeppelin.Â
