An ‘opposites attract’ drama where food is at the heart of the love story.
In Your Taste (alternatively Tastefully Yours)—starring Kang Ha-neul and Go Min-si—two distinct individuals with nothing in common except their relationship with food—connect and bond over their shared interest, eventually falling in love.
With Kang Ha-neul and Go Min-si pairing up in a romantic comedy, Your Taste piques interest ahead of its release scheduled this year, whose date has yet to be announced.
Fresh from director Park Dan-hee, known for his earlier works, including the fantasy romance suspense drama Blue Birthday (2021) and the coming-of-age action thriller drama Weak Hero Class 1 (2022), Your Taste portrays an heir to a conglomerate and the owner and chef of an eatery, who team up for a cause that will change their lives.
The story has family dynamics, the competitive world of the food industry, and, as previously stated, the unexpected turn of events when the two lead characters from quite different backgrounds connect.
Kang Ha-neul’s Han Beom-woo is a rich candidate with his eyes set on cementing himself as the boss of their giant food firm, setting him against his brother in an adversarial scenario. Interestingly, Beom-woo’s appreciation of flavors seems somewhat detached, as he isn’t particularly fascinated by the nuances that attract food enthusiasts, despite his accomplishments in the culinary industry, which includes his famed luxury dining restaurant in Seoul. However, as driven as he gets to wield authority in business, he’ll delve deeper into the realm of recipes and culinary innovation.
Beom-woo’s pursuit brings him into contact with Go Min-si’s chef Mo Yeon-joo, whose knowledge and love of food and flavors may hold the secret to his success. Yeon-joo on the other hand runs a one-table restaurant in Jeonju, the city of delicious cuisine. She’s the opposite of Beom-woo in various ways and simply wants to mend her failing business, so meeting him could be her one chance. Their encounter and working together thereafter become a springboard to shape their respective goals and gradually ignite their feelings for each other.
Your Taste is undoubtedly a case of “opposites attract,” as the two protagonists who seem to be opposites in terms of their personality types, circumstances, or lives, are still drawn to each other because, just as life is unplanned, so are matters of the heart.
Your Taste follows Kang Ha-neul’s performance in the gripping survival thriller drama Squid Game Season 2 (2024) and Go Min-si’s performance in the mystery crime thriller drama Frog (2024). The drama also features Kim Shin-rok, recognized for her roles in the television series Beyond Evil (2021), Hellbound (2021-2024), and One Ordinary Day (2021), as well as Yoo Soo-bin, best known for his portrayals in dramas such as Prison Playbook (2017) and Crash Landing on You (2019).
