Anyone who has even slightly kept abreast of the rise of Indian hip hop in the past four years has a handful of household names that they can confidently say have contributed to building the genre’s identity. One such unignorable name is Karan Kanchan.
The 26-year-old producer has ascended beyond just simply being a music producer and beatmaker. Karan Kanchan has added his unique flavor of bass-driven production and immediately identifiable musical hooks to some of the biggest hits in the country. From helping to create the Indian Men’s Cricket Team’s 2023 ICC World Cup anthem “Teen Ka Dream” to helming the Indian edition of Red Bull’s 64 Bars in 2022, Kanchan has proven time and time again that he is an unavoidable force of nature.
What better way to bring in the second edition of one of India’s largest music festivals than to announce The Karan Kanchan Experience at Lollapalooza India 2024? Kanchan will be bringing on stage an entirely curated experience that will see a groundbreaking fusion of visuals, dynamic lighting, and some of the biggest acts in the scene featuring live drums and guitars. This debut IP will not only showcase the artist’s biggest hits but will also collaborate with global icons for a high-energy spectacle. Rolling Stone India was told to “expect a mix of emotional melodies, diverse genres, and a production value set to redefine live experiences.” Kanchan aims to transcend boundaries, delivering an unprecedented showcase on this grand stage.
As he puts it, “I really want to push up the production value of a live experience—as a music producer—performing on such a big stage, along with some of the biggest artists in the world, and I’m really looking forward to deliver something which people haven’t experienced before from an Indian artist on a stage like this.”
Some of the acts on The Karan Kanchan Experience include MC Altaf, Kayan, Hanumankind, Rashmeet Kaur, AFKAP, Yashraj, D’Evil, and perhaps even an additional surprise act that is sure to make the moshpit lose their minds.
The Karan Kanchan Experience will be happening on Day 1 of Lollapalooza India at 6:30 pm at the Perry’s Stage.
The case will be taken up in March 2026 in the Delhi High Court
