Karma’s ‘Bada’ with KSHMR Is All About the Rapper’s Big Moves
Dehradun-origin hip-hop artist collaborates with the Indian-origin producer for the what he says is ‘just the beginning’
Rapper Karma aka Vivek Arora steps up his game with “Bada,” his latest song with DJ-producer KSHMR, released today, Sept. 5, via Warner Music India.
The song follows a fairly prolific year for Karma so far, with singles like “We Here,” “Makin Moves,” “Doon” and “Tera Hua” with beatsmith Sez On The Beat, plus guesting on King’s Monopoly Moves lead single “Goat Shit.” For its part, “Bada” comes with a slick music video directed by filmmaker James Lama that’s high on glitz as well as a little bit of action, all set in Nepal, with Karma at the center of it.
The song also marks KSHMR’s continued involvement with Indian rappers following the release of the DJ-producer’s hip-hop album Karam last year. Karma adds in his statement, “‘Bada’ is like my personal anthem—bursting with growth, swagger, and unstoppable energy! I cracked the hook in seconds, proving how art just finds you. Collaborating with KSHMR, an absolute beast in the music scene, has been surreal. From using his sample in the first track for my label to now having him produce for me, it’s come full circle. He’s not just a top artist but a humble soul. This track is just the beginning — stay tuned for more!” KSHMR took to Instagram to talk about the collaboration. He said, “One of my fav rappers in the DHH scene, proud to have one together.”
Lyrically, a press release says Karma’s new song “highlights the artist’s rise from struggle to success, celebrating big achievements and a lavish lifestyle.” It adds, “Confidence and resilience are key themes, with a focus on overcoming challenges. The artist proudly embraces their growth and the rewards of hard work.”
