Kasauli Rhythm and Blues Festival Lineup Announced

The two-day fundraiser by Genesis Foundation in Himachal Pradesh will take place on March 29th and 30th

The Raghu Dixit Project returns to perform at the Kasauli Rhythm and Blues Festival 2013

The Kasauli Rhythm and Blues Festival returns in its second edition to the hill station town of Kasauli, Himachal Pradesh on March 29th and 30th. The two day festival will feature performances by folk rock artists such as The Raghu Dixit Project and Mrigya, who return for a second time. Post-pop duo Sridhar/Thayil, who haven’t been on stage together since  their album launch tour last year, will also perform.

The festival lineup is complete with Hindi pop rock band Ankur and the Ghalat Family, gypsy psychedelic rock band Peter Cat Recording Co, blues/rock ”˜n roll band Big Bang Blues and a collaboration titled Desert Funk, featuring folk singers from Barmer, Rajasthan and Kolkata indie funk band Neel and the Lightbulbs.

The festival, put together by the Genesis Foundation, takes place at the Baikunth resorts over two days. Entry to the festival is with donor cards, which go towards raising funds for the NGO’s goal of facilitating medical care for children with special medical needs.
