King Announces Australia and New Zealand Debut in November
Delhi artist will be supported by singer-songwriter Tricksingh at three shows in Melbourne, Sydney and Auckland
On the back of wrapping up an India-wide launch tour for his new album Monopoly Moves, hip-hop and pop star King has set his sights on Australia and New Zealand for shows this November.
King will make his debut in the country with shows in Melbourne on Nov. 22, in Sydney on Nov. 24 and in Auckland on Nov. 27. He’ll be joined by singer-songwriter and hip-hop artist Tricksingh for all three shows.
The artist said in a statement, “Australia has been on my radar for a long time, and I’m beyond excited to perform there finally. I can’t wait to meet my amazing King’s clan and make this tour a celebration of music and connection.”
Previously, King performed in Bangkok in June this year with Punjabi star Juggy D. In Fall of 2023, the “Maan Meri Jaan” hitmaker was set for his first international tour. His U.K., U.S. and Canada shows slated for September were, however, nixed due to delays in procuring visas.
It’s still been an upward trajectory for the artist since then, considering he released “Maan Meri Jaan (Afterlife)” with American pop star Nick Jonas, put out his next album New Life to scale the charts yet again in India and then began working up to release his rap-centric album Monopoly Moves featuring everyone from MC Stan to Ikka and more. In between, there was also “Bumpa” with hitmaker Jason Derulo and walking the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival this year.
