King Announces ‘Raja Hindustani’ Album Release Date with Wedding Song ‘Jo Ishq Hua’
The hip-hop/pop artist’s follow-up to ‘Monopoly Moves’ will release on Feb. 20, 2026

Hip-hop and pop star King is entering a new era once again with his new album Raja Hindustani, slated for release on Feb. 20, 2026.
The second glimpse of the album arrives with a wedding song called “Jo Ishq Hua,” which sees the artist lean on his charming pop side (heard best on songs like “Maan Meri Jaan” and “Tu Jaana Na Piya”) after the rap-focused 2024 album Monopoly Moves. The album was announced in November 2025 with the lead single “Kamaal Hai.” There was some indication of King’s turn to more romantic songwriting after the emotive three-track EP Shayad Koi Na Sune came out in July last year.
While more details about Raja Hindustani are yet to be announced, it will be released via Warner Music India. “Jo Ishq Hua,” for its part, puts forward an accessible, Bollywood-friendly sound with co-composer Aditya Dev, who also produced the song.
The music video sees King and actor Shriya Pilgaonkar amid a palatial setting in Jaipur through the narrative of childhood friends who are about to be wed to each other.
King says about the song in a statement, “‘Jo Ishq Hua’ comes from a very honest place. This song reflects the kind of love that doesn’t need grand declarations, it simply stays. The song builds from soft, heartfelt moments into a rich, sweeping sound that captures the warmth of love. We wanted it to be cinematic yet intimate, a song for all kinds of special moments.”
He took to social media to speak about the making of Raja Hindustani. “Meri aukaat se bahar ki album hai isliye thoda sabar rakhna (I’ve made an album that’s above my status, so please have patience). Let your boy cook and serve something that matters, make sense and top of it… something that feels real.”
Pilgaonkar says about being a part of the project, “I’ve always enjoyed King’s music and his energy. Shooting in Jaipur, especially in a palace, added this beautiful sense of timelessness to the story. The song itself is soft, romantic, and has a strong emotional resonance. It’s a love story that unfolds slowly and lingers, and I feel like that’s something audiences will really connect with. ”
