King Drops ‘Monopoly Moves’ Tracklist, Announces Listening Party Tour
Hip-hop/pop artist will travel across eight cities starting Aug. 2 and ending Aug. 31
Ahead of launching his next album Monopoly Moves, hip-hop and pop star King will embark on a different kind of tour to promote the project, hosting listening parties in nine cities.
The 15-track album’s full list of songs has also been revealed by the “Maan Meri Jaan” hitmaker, which signifies that Monopoly Moves is a fully rap-driven project. The album has also confirmed collaborations with Raftaar (“Warcry”), MC Stan (“F*ck What They Say”), Ikka (“Mashiney”), Talhah Yunus (“Supreme Leader”) and others.
The Monopoly Moves Album Listening Party Tour – held in association with the event series Casa Bacardi – will kickstart in New Delhi on Aug. 2 followed by stops in Bengaluru (Aug. 4), Dehradun (Aug. 9), Ahmedabad (Aug. 11), Indore (Aug. 17), Kolkata (Aug. 24), Hyderabad (Aug. 30) and end in Mumbai on Aug. 31. Tickets, starting at ₹999 are on sale via Paytm Insider.
While a listening party usually only involves playing an album to fans who can join in the collective experience of hearing it for the first time in its studio iteration, King’s tour not only involves his presence at each event but more. A description for the event says, “With a brand new show experience lined up for attendees led by the New Delhi-based superstar and a host of surprise guests, his upcoming India-wide tour promises to be one for the books.”
A press release also goes on to describe the tour as “a celebration of KING’s latest sonic endeavor and hip-hop.” So far, six songs from Monopoly Moves have been out, including “Kodak” with hip-hop duo Seedhe Maut, “Bawe Main Check” with rapper Raga, “Still The Same” with singer-producer Abhijay Sharma, “Goat Shit” with rapper Karma and the singles “Misfit” and “Way Bigger.”
