The nine-track record features artists such as Dualist Inquiry, Kohra and more
After releasing her six-track debut EP Serpentine in 2022, Mumbai artist Anushka Manchanda aka Kiss Nuka is now out with a remixed version of the record entitled Serpentine Remixed.
The remixed EP includes nine tracks with remixes from a dynamic range of artists. The likes of electronic producers Coldcut, Dualist Inquiry, Kohra, Dotdat, EZ Riser, Rākhis, Oceantied, Nathalie Seres, Key Ratio and FILM all add their eclectic musical sensibilities to the record. The genre-bending EP is an extension of Kiss Nuka’s refusal to be defined by just one sound and offers a plethora of soundscapes.
Kiss Nuka says, “I just can’t get over the sound of this album. Every artist has knocked their remix out of the park! In terms of quality of sound, experimentation, and the gamut of genres. This compilation is a dream come to reality. I have great respect for these artists, and I’m grateful for the relationships I share with them.”
On being part of the project, Dualist Inquiry says, “I’ve met Anushka in passing several times over the years, but we properly connected around the time she was launching her journey as Kiss Nuka in 2021. We had some very nerdy and honest conversations about things like production, being an independent artist, reinventing oneself and the new stage of her journey.” He adds, “So when she reached out to ask if I’d be up for remixing a song from Serpentine EP, it was a definite yes. I was drawn to the vocals which felt like the perfect framework on which to build my remix. So glad to have gotten to be part of this remix EP!”
