Kodaline Announced as Headliners of SPXCEJXM Festival This November

The newly launched SPXCEJXM Festival — taking place on November 4th and 5th in Mumbai and Bengaluru — will host the return of Irish indie folk band Kodaline as the first headliners for their inaugural edition.

Kodaline — best known for their emotive songs like “Brother,” “All I Want” and “High Hopes” — first performed in Pune as part of Bacardi NH7 Weekender 2019 and soon released their album One Day at a Time in 2020. In 2022, the quartet comprising vocalist-guitarist Steve Garrigan, lead guitarist Mark Prendergast, drummer Vincent May and bassist Jason Boland, released a live album called Our Roots Run Deep recorded in Dublin.

Prior to the announcement via SPXCEJXM Festival and the band, both organizer and artist hinted at an India appearance for the Irish act, with SPXCEJXM posting an Irish flag and Kodaline putting out an Instagram story about an announcement coming up, with the flag of India tacked on.

Kodaline are not only the first international headliners announced for SPXCEJXM — founded by ODDC’s Noel Swami and Avrik Live’s Manav Dhumal — but also the only artist announced for the multi-genre festival so far. Over 24 artists, six of them international, will perform in each city for the two-day festival.

Tickets for SPXCEJXM are now on sale, starting at ₹2,999 for general admission and ₹3,999 for VIP entry in both cities.

Incidentally, while Kodaline are expected to come to India in November, they’re currently prepping to tour Asia in September, kicking off on September 3rd in Jakarta and closing on September 25th in Osaka.
