Lady Gaga wearing a Naeem Khan creation at the press conference in New Delhi

Pop diva Lady Gaga popped her India cherry at a poshly-attended gig on Sunday night. The eccentric starlet played for an hour at the Jaypee Greens Golf and Spa Resort in Greater Noida, as part of the F1 Afterparty hosted by Arjun Rampal and restaurateur AD Singh’s lounge LAP. Rampal made sure the guest list for the evening read the finest names in Bollywood with the likes of Shah Rukh Khan, Gauri Khan, Sonam Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Imran Khan, Bipasha Basu, Preity Zinta and many more filling the crowd. Gaga promised a special India show, the day before at a press conference and she didn’t disappoint. Dressed in a white knee-length dress, Gaga sat on a piano and played a tune to the notes of a sitar playing in the background saying “Namaste India.” That really was enough to grab the attention of those attending the Rs 40,000 ticket event.
