Lady Gaga Switches Gears on ESPN Formula 1 Anthem ‘Garden of Eden’

The musician previewed the track set to appear on her upcoming album Mayhem, out March 7, in the trailer for the 2025 season

With new rule changes on the track, six drivers making their full season debuts, and seven-time world champion Lewis Hamilton making his Ferrari debut, the Formula 1 season is coming in hot. In honor of the high-speed frenzy scheduled to kick off with the Australian Grand Prix on March 14, EPSN has named Lady Gaga‘s “Garden of Eden” the official anthem for the 2025 F1 season.

“Go get your friends and meet me on the floor/You’re out of candy? I can get you more/DJ, hit the lights,” Gaga sings in the ESPN promotional teaser. “I’ll take you to the Garden of Eden/Poisoned apple, take a bite/I’ll take you to the Garden of Eden/You’re turning green from the adrenaline.”

“Garden of Eden” will appear on Mayhem, the musician’s forthcoming studio album set for release on March 7. According to a press release, additional music from the album will be used to soundtrack different moments throughout the season. So far, Gaga has previewed the album with the “Garden of Eden” snippet and the lead singles “Abracadabra” and “Disease.”

“The album started as me facing my fear of returning to the pop music my earliest fans loved,” Gaga recently shared in a statement. She described the return-to-form as “reassembling a shattered mirror: even if you can’t put the pieces back together perfectly, you can create something beautiful and whole in its own new way.”

Lyrics from “Garden of Eden” surfaced last month when Gaga shared a string of cryptic, distorted teasers on her official website, alongside other one-liners including “Yeah your girlfriend isn’t here,” “I’ll burn a hole right through your eyes,” “You can’t hear her with the music on,” and “Tap on my vein suck on my blood diamond.”

“When I write and produce and sing songs, I am always drawing upon my knowledge of the history of music, and so many artists and producers that came before me,” Gaga told Vogue. “In that way, this album is a celebration of a lot of the music that made me who I am, because when I returned to a darker pop style of pop, all my early experiences with music came out.”
