Murphy and Baumbach had previously worked on the 2010 comedy-drama film Greenberg, which also starred Stiller in the lead role. Baumbach’s new film While We’re Young follows a “middle-aged couple whose career and marriage are overturned when a disarming young couple enters their lives.” The film is set to have its world premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival in September.
After pulling the curtains on LCD Soundsystem in 2011, Murphy has made inroads to the world of film, including directing a short film Little Ducks for camera manufacturers Cannon and starring in 2012 drama film The Comedy.
