Just when you think Carly Rae Jepsen has faded out, the Canadian singer-songwriter makes a comeback with her latest single “I Really Like You”.
The 3:24 minute breezy track by Jepsen is another story of a love-struck teenager. The lyrics are as vapid as those on her debut hit single “Call Me Maybe,” and the theme of the track is similar too: Fear of rejection. The number of times the 29 year-old pop singer repeats the word “really” convinces you that the love interest in question is indeed much loved.
The track is her first release since 2012, when she released “Call Me Maybe” followed by her debut EP Curiosity. If Jepsen’s career graph is anything to go by, the track is really likely to play on high rotation on all radio and TV channels.
