The Bengaluru prog rock/metal band Slain’s new single features the Mumbai singer and their own choir, The Choral Riff
Slain
Since 2010, Bengaluru prog rock/metal band Slain have recruited a legion of vocalists for their gigs, including performances with Bengaluru choir group The Concordia Choir. Late last year, the band formed their own choir and began performing shows under the name Slain and the Choral Riff, including renditions of Christmas songs and their own songs from their debut album, Here & Beyond, which gained them two Rolling Stone Metal Awards in 2010.
Though The Choral Riff comprises 17 members, Slain has got one more voice leading them on their new single “Firesea” ”“ Mumbai vocalist Siddharth Basrur. The punchy prog rock track, produced by prog metal band Skyharbor’s guitarist Keshav Dhar, features Basrur and The Choral Riff joining in on the chorus.
