Now the world is waiting with bated breath for Eminem's rebuttal which, according to rumor, is already underway

Machine Gun Kelly slammed Eminem on a new blistering diss track titled “Rap Devil” (a play on the name of the latter’s hit song “Rap God.”) The Cleveland born rapper’s Monday release comes as a retaliation to “Not Alike,” a diss track featured on Eminem’s surprise new LP Kamikaze which dropped on Friday.
Both tracks are results of a long-standing feud between the two rappers that began back in 2012 when MGK Tweeted about Eminem’s then 16-year-old daughter Hailie, stating she was “hot as fuck”–a Tweet that he claims got him banned from appearing on Eminem’s Shade 45 radio station and blackballed from the hip-hop industry.
On “Not Alike,” Eminem called out MGK, rapping “If you wanna come at me with a sub, Machine Gun/And I’m talkin’ to you/but you already know who the fuck you are, Kelly/I don’t use sublims and sure as fuck don’t sneak-diss/But keep commenting on my daughter Hailie.”
MGK fired back in less than three days, using fiery, increasingly personal verses to slam his former idol: “Mad about somethin’ I said in 2012/Took you six years and a surprise album just to come with a diss/Homie we get it, we know that you’re the greatest rapper alive/Fuckin’ dweeb, all you do is read the dictionary and stay inside.” At one point in the track he addresses Hailie directly before taking on Eminem’s age, lyricism, alleged paranoia and sobriety, “Tough talk from a rapper paying millions for security a year/’I think my dad’s gone crazy,’ yeah Hailie you right/Dad’s always mad cooped up in the studio yelling at the mic/You’re sober and bored, huh (I know)/About to be 46 years old, dog.”
Fans seem divided on the issue; some say MKG was out of line and weak-versed on “Rap Devil,” while others praised him for standing firm and going up against the ‘Rap God’ himself . What’s absolutely concrete however, is the fact that the world is waiting with bated breath for Eminem’s rebuttal which–according to rumor–is already underway.
