Drawing on the theme of ”˜navigation’, the 2016 edition of music and arts festival Magnetic Fields will explore a diverse music terrain and feature a host of exciting, genre-bending artists from around the globe.

The UK-based Floating Points will play the Red Bull Music Academy North Stage at Magnetic Fields 2016

This year’s festival will see dance music virtuoso Floating Points, German DJ and producer Roman Flugel and veteran dubstep initiator and producer Pinch on the bill. They will perform at the Red Bull Music Academy-curated North Stage of the festival. Also part of the festival, held at the heritage Alsisar Mahal in the Alsisar town in north-west Rajasthan, are singer-songwriter Prateek Kuhad, New Delhi-based psychedelia band Begum and collaborative electronic act Nikhil Narendra and Shreyas Dipali. Mumbai-based ambient duo Burudu will open the festival.

Austrian multi-instrumentalist and beats prodigy Dorian Concept, Japanese experimental electronica producer Daisuke Tanabe and ambient electronica act Napoleon Gold from Luxembourg will also be part of this year’s lineup. One of the after parties this year will be hosted by Livin’ Proof, London’s premier hip-hip collective.

Besides music, other activities at Magnetic Fields include morning yoga, stargazing sessions every night, treasure hunt and more. A limited number of free tickets and tent pitches will be made available for people who can come up with innovative ideas for the festival. Applications for that opportunity are currently on and will close on October 7th.
