Marilyn Manson Signs New Record Deal, Teases First Music Since Sexual Assault Allegations

Rolling Stone confirmed the deal with Nuclear Blast after the musician and metal label shared a short clip that appeared to feature a new song

After facing a wave of sexual abuse allegationsMarilyn Manson has signed a new record deal with the independent metalNuclear Blast.

Rolling Stone confirmed the deal after Manson and Nuclear Blast shared a short video on social media  that appeared to feature a snippet of new music. The name of the song was not revealed, but near the end of the clip, Manson whispers the refrain, “Keep sleeping, I’ll make you dream of me.”

It’s unclear if Manson, who last released an album with 2020’s We Are Chaos, has just a new single or a full album in the pipeline. (A rep for the label confirmed the signing but declined to reveal any additional details.) In 2021, actress and Manson’s ex-girlfriend Evan Rachel Wood accused the musician (real name Brian Warner) of sexual abuse, after which more than a dozen women came forward with additional allegations of psychological and sexual abuse. (Manson has denied the claims.)

Several of Warner’s accusers spoke with Rolling Stone in 2021, including a former assistant, Ashley Walters, who claimed Warner would “offer her up” to his friends, and actress Esmé Bianco, a onetime girlfriend who recalled: “Before I was even in a relationship with him, he talked about raping me. [I thought], ‘I guess that’s just how he rolls and everyone is cool with it, so who am I to not laugh along?’”

Since then, Warner has settled a couple of lawsuits, including one filed by Bianco. He’s set to face a suit filed by Walters in Los Angeles court in June 2025, after the previously dismissed suit was revived on appeal. Another suit in which Warner was sued for sexual assault of a minor continues. The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department also launched a criminal investigation into Warner. While it delivered its findings to the district attorney in 2022, the DA’s office has yet to announce whether or not criminal charges will be brought.

Following the allegations against him, Warner was swiftly dropped by many of his longtime business partners and agents, including manager Tony Ciulla, his record label Loma Vista, and his booking agent, CAA.

Back in March, it was announced that Manson was preparing a return to the stage. He’ll open for Five Finger Death Punch on their North American tour this August and September, while his itinerary includes a few headlining dates, as well.
