MC Stan Drops Soul-Searching New Single ‘Kider Manzil’ from ‘Mehfeel’ Album
Pune rapper’s fourth song off his upcoming third album comes after ‘Numb,’ ‘911 Porsche’ and ‘Meri Zindagi Rap Se Pan Deep Hai’
MC Stan’s focus is razor-sharp on his new song “Kider Manzil,” digging into a hook about how silence is golden sometimes. The fourth song off his third album Mehfeel is driven by lo-fi hip-hop production with an emphasis on guitar and piano melodies.
Lyrically, Stan keeps the nonsense to a minimum and shares the very same advice to anyone listening in or those around him. The “Basti Ka Hasti” rapper makes it known on “Kider Manzil” that he’s not about timepass and beef any longer. “Shanti se baith zara chalu hai khutba (sit quiet for a while, the sermon is on),” Stan raps as a hook for the song.
For the most part, Stan wonders about where he’s come from and where he’s going. The rapper shares an example of people getting “stuck in a dream” and how people who never got anything in life became mean. The hype was real among fans of the artist when he announced “Kider Manzil,” with a few leaked versions surfacing online before the release of the song.
Mehfeel – which is also referenced on “Kider Manzil” – has so far seen songs like “911 Porsche,” “Numb” and “Meri Zindagi Rap Se Pan Deep Hai” this year. The album follows Stan’s 2022 album Insaan and his 2020 debut album Tadipaar.
A press release for Stan’s latest song adds, “The release of ‘Kider Manzil’ has only heightened the anticipation for the full album. The track showcases MC Stan’s signature raw and unfiltered rap style, seamlessly blending powerful beats with his unique vocal delivery. This combination has struck a chord with listeners, who have expressed their admiration for the song’s intense energy and emotional depth.”
He said in his Future Of Music interview with Rolling Stone India earlier this year, “It is an artist’s responsibility to explore new territories and push boundaries. […] Navigating this complexity means staying true to yourself while also remaining open to growth and evolution as both an artist and a person.”
Outside of his own album, MC Stan will also be heard on hip-hop/pop star King’s upcoming rap-focused album Monopoly Moves, featuring on the song “F*ck What They Say,” produced by Riz Shain.
