Sound

Wary of being labeled as just another metal band, guitarist Mulky explains that Eccentric Pendulum was formed in order to combine their different influences of jazz, rock, rap and of course metal. “When we initially started jamming, we did not follow a genre. Most of our songs don’t have the same time signatures.” Calling their music “experimental,” Venkatram adds that the band’s basic motive while writing music is to keep themselves from getting bored of their own music. “People have called us weird sounding, unconventional and all sorts of things. Our constant endeavor is to create sounds that are different so that we don’t get bored of playing them live.”

Eccentric Pendulum has played the Wacken Open Air festival in Germanylast year and SWR Barroselas Metal fest XV in Portugalin 2012.
