The most awaited metal awards in India, G-Shock Presents Rolling Stone Metal Awards [RSMA] returns for its seventh edition in Mumbai in February 2016. The annual ceremony and performance platform has hosted some of the biggest Indian metal acts in the past, from Delhi tech/groove metal band Undying Inc to Mumbai extreme metallers Demonic Resurrection and Aizawl death metallers Third Sovereign.

The entries for RSMA 2016 are now open for all bands and artists who have released a single, EP or album between January 1st, 2015 and December 31st, 2015. They can send in entries in any or all of the above categories. The winners will be announced at RSMA 2016 in February, which will also include performances by metal bands from across the country, making it the loudest night of the year.

With awards in nine categories, from Best Guitarist to Best Album Art and the top three honors of Best Band, Best Song and Best Album, the awards show has been one of the biggest highlights of the year for both metal bands and fans from across the country. Previous winners include Bengaluru folk metal band The Down Troddence [2014] and Mumbai extreme metallers Demonic Resurrection, who walked away with six awards in March 2015, tying with prog metallers Skyharbor in the Best Band category. Nominees last year also included prog metalcore band Colossal Figures, prog metal band Guillotine and math metallers Kraken.
