Midival Punditz are an electronica duo from New Delhi, formed in 1997. Gaurav Raina and Tapan Raj have released three studio albums - Midival Punditz (2002), Midival Times (2005) and Hello Hello (2009). The Punditz sound is a crossover of classical music and Indian influenced sounds with orthodox electronica trappings. They frequently collaborate with percussionist Karsh Kale.
They were the first Indian electronica act to get signed by an international label, Six Degrees Records in the US. Over the span of their career, the duo have released three albums. In 2002 they released “Midival Punditz”, their debut album. “Midival Times” released in 2005. Their 2009 release, “Hello Hello” earned them a spot on Amazon’s top picks for 2009.
