Katherine Jackson, mother of Michael Jackson and caretaker to his children since his death, has been reported missing to the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Office, CNN reports.

The family matriarch’s nephew, Trent Jackson, filed the report on Saturday night after Michael Jackson’s children said that they had been unable to reach her for a week.

“yes , my grandmother is missing,” 14-year-old Paris Jackson Tweeted this morning. “i haven’t spoken with her in a week i want her home now.” In a separate post, Paris wrote, “If anybody sees my grandmother , please call the authorities or this number”” (818)-876-0186 it’s the security number .. thank you so much.”

Jermaine Jackson, however, has said that Katherine is well and accounted for and has just been resting in Arizona. “I want to reassure everyone (inc all sudden medical experts) that Mother is fine but is resting up in AZ on the orders of a doctor, not us,” he Tweeted. “This is our mother and her health is paramount. We are not inventing or plotting anything. We are following doctor’s advice. Period.”

Katherine Jackson’s lawyer, Sandra Ribera, said that Jackson flew to Albuquerque, New Mexico, with her daughter Rebbie on July 15 to attend a Jackson Brothers concert. She said that when Paris tried to call Rebbie and her sister Janet over the past several days, the girl was told that her grandmother was unavailable.

“I’m concerned that she’s not safe,” Ribera said.

Several of the Jackson siblings, including Jermaine and Janet, have been involved in a long dispute with the executors Michael Jackson’s estate, John Branca and John McClain. They have claimed that the will that put all of their late brother’s assets into a trust benefiting Katherine Jackson, his three children and some charities, was fraudulent. Earlier this week, the five siblings sent a letter to Branca and McClain, accusing them of fraud and referring to a “conspiracy surrounding our brother’s death.” They also said that their mother was being abused through lies and manipulations by the executors, and had suffered a “mini-stroke” recently.

Paris Jackson took to Twitter at the time to address the letter’s accusation, writing “i am going to clarify right now that what has been said about my grandmother is a rumor and nothing has happened, she is completely fine.”
