Mixcloud and W Hotels Bring Future Rising to India

In a plot to expand the music culture in India, music streaming platform Mixcloud along with W Hotels Worldwide brings Future Rising, a platform that identifies, cultivates and celebrates emerging artists and creative personalities from around the world into their own space. Future Rising will make its Asia Pacific debut at W Goa on May 5th as a free-to-attend event.

Future Rising, which launched two years ago in Europe, has taken place around the world including St. Petersburg, Barcelona and London among other cities has promoted fresh new talent by DJs, visual artists, videographers and more. On the sonic front, Goa’s DJ Agent and producer Luna Toke will perform as the Tsunami Soup Collective, alongside Bengaluru DJ, producer Rahul Giri aka _RHL (founder of record label Consolidate label) and the Boxout Soundsystem.

A panel discussion titled Suite Session will bring together Goan historian and artist Subodh Kerkar, photojournalist Prashant Panjiar, Panjim restaurateur Prahlad Sukthtankar, who runs The Black Sheep Bistro and Magnetic Fields co-founder Smita Singh come to discuss the modern creative community in the coastal state. Kerkar – who is regarded as one of Goa’s most passionate historians – will also showcase a trio of art installations at the event.
