Indore hip-hop artist Lashcurry was announced as the winner of rap talent hunt MTV Hustle 4: Hip Hop Don’t Stop today, Dec. 22, 2024.

The 21-year-old – who was part of New Delhi rapper Raga’s squad Raga Ragers – emerged on top among finalists such as Naam Sujal, Dharmik, Siyaahi, 99side and Vichaar. Ahmedabad hip-hop artist Siyaahi was also bestowed the OG Hustler title during the fourth season of MTV Hustle, officially called Royal Enfield Hunter MTV Hustle 4: Hip Hop Don’t Stop.

The contestants were part of the show for 10 weeks, showcasing different skills within the hip-hop and songwriting spectrum. Featuring judges such as Ikka and Raftaar, plus squad bosses like Raga, Dee MC, EPR Iyer and King, the final episode also saw performances by season two winner MC Square and season three winner Uday Pandhi.

Lashcurry said in a statement, “Winning Royal Enfield Hunter MTV Hustle 4: Hip Hop Don’t Stop has been the most transformative experience of my life. From refining my craft to gaining immense love and support from fans, this stage has pushed me to my absolute best, especially Raga sir who has helped me groom and become a better version of myself. I will cherish this win forever, and this trophy stands as proof of all the hard work I’ve put in over the years.”

Siyaahi added about getting the OG Hustler runner-up place, “I’m truly grateful to the team of Royal Enfield Hunter MTV Hustle 4: Hip Hop Don’t Stop for having me on the show. A special thanks to Raga sir for his invaluable guidance — I’ve learned so much from him and the entire squad. This experience, filled with learning, fun, and incredible memories with my co-hustlers, is one I’ll always cherish”

Both top spots went to artists part of Raga’s squad. The New Delhi throat-shredding rapper says about his mentees, “Lashcurry has worked incredibly hard and consistently pushed boundaries. Seeing his journey and growth has been inspiring, and he totally deserved to win! I am even more contended as Siyaahi from my squad became the OG Hustler giving Raga Ragers a double win. This was my first year as Squad Boss on MTV Hustle and I believe this platform has always been a grooming ground for new and upcoming artists and each and every contestant has shown immense growth throughout.”

Raftaar, for his part, spoke about the “raw talent, passion and love for desi hip-hop” that dominated this season of MTV Hustle. “Lashcurry has shown all of that and more. It’s been amazing to see his journey and how much he’s grown — I’m so proud of him,” he adds.

Ikka praised Lashcurry for embodying “the heart and soul of desi hip-hop” and also Raga for stepping in as a squad boss for the first time and being “instrumental in nurturing this talent.” Ikka adds, “Together, they’ve set a benchmark for future seasons.”

While winners no doubt take home cash prizes, record deals and tours, MTV Hustle has often been a proving ground for new stars among finalists itself, from the likes of Bella, King and Agsy in season one, Srushti Tawade, Panther, Paradox and Spectra in season two, plus Kayden Sharma, Gaush, 100 RBH and more in season three.

MTV Hustle 4: Hip Hop Don’t Stop also brought out a few potential hitmakers, including Naam Sujal with “Vishay Khatam,” Dharmik with “Khalbatta,” 99side with “Subeh Subeh” and Madtrip’s “Kothi Bangle Wali,” alongside Pho’s “Launde Crazy and more.

This season also marked significant returns with Raftaar coming back as judge, and special guest appearances by Badshah, Raja Kumari, King and Bella. Notable desi hip-hop figures like Seedhe Maut, Naezy, Riar Saab, and Sambata elevated the energy, while the show was hosted by Talha Siddiqui and Jizzy.
