The three-day long festival’s lineup includes the Karsh Kale Sound System, Oceantied, Moglebaumg, Curtain Blue and more
Weekend getaways are no longer about picnics and campfires. Well, not just about those things. Music festivals such as Nariyal Paani and SulaFest are making sure live performance is as much part of that experience. While SulaFest kicks off later this week in Nashik, three-day festival The Lost Party takes place between February 26th to 28th.
While the first edition last year was promoted as an exclusive, almost secret festival near Lavasa [with mysterious location hints dropped], the second year expands to three days and has a brand new destination: at the foothills of the Sahyadris, by Salter Lake near the hill station town of Lonavla in Maharashtra.
Television channel MTV Indies are curating the local lineup for this year, including composer and producer Karsh Kale’s project the Karsh Kale Sound System,  electronica acts  Donn Bhat + Passenger Revelator and Bengaluru’s Oceantied, Mumbai-based ambient duo Burudu, Delhi acts such as experimental producer Curtain Blue, electronica fusion project Karajimo and indie rock band Yesterdrive, among others. International artists in the lineup are German electro group Moglebaumg, Canadian electro/funk duo The Funk Hunters and Afro-beat producer dEbruit.
Keeping in line with the current crop of festivals, there’s much more than just music to check out at the Lost Party. Turns out that includes aerial yoga and pillow fighting. Go figure.
The festival will be preceded by several pre-launch gigs across the country, including French electro/hip hop act Chinese Man in Mumbai on February 13th.
