One of the country’s leading rock bands, Pentagram, from Mumbai, who have been performing for nearly 20 years, have decided to take a break citing “administrative issues” among other reasons.

Pentagram, comprising vocalist Vishal Dadlani, guitarist Randolph Correia, bassist Papal Mane and drummer Shiraz Bhattacharya, were scheduled to kick off their unplugged tour through November, at all four editions of the Bacardi NH7 Weekender. The band, however, announced on October 31st that they would not play the inaugural Kolkata edition [which took place between November 1stand 2nd] due to “unavoidable circumstances.” This was followed by a Facebook post and tweet from Dadlani’s Twitter account on November 1st, which said, “Pentagram is on indefinite hiatus, due to differences-in-opinion. There is great love and mutual respect amongst the guys, but certain “administrative issues” are a problem. As of now, all shows for this season stand cancelled. We will keep you informed about the future course of the band. Much love, and many thanks for the good times!”

The band’s last performed at the Red Bull Tour Bus #OffTheRoof show on October 18th in Mumbai, alongside metal band Bhayanak Maut and folk rock act The Raghu Dixit Project, among others.
