Iconic Mumbai venue Razzberry Rhinoceros, which reopened its doors last month, has announced a new monthly festival. The venue will host Fomo Fest on the last Sunday of every month, and has partnered with Mumbai-based music and events agency Daddy Entertainment to organize the event. The first edition of the festival will be held on March 26th at Razz.
“The concept is basically a fear of missing out. It is a cultural melting pot of different art forms,” says Sameer Malhotra, the founder of Daddy Entertainment. He adds “I wanted to have a party that starts from sunset and goes on till sunrise.”
The acts booked to perform at the festival’s inaugural event this Sunday include a mixed bag of artists such as experimental outfit Bombay Black, singer-songwriter Monica Dogra, electro-rock group Donn Bhat + Passenger Revelator, electronic artists Zokhuma and Chhabb, deep house artist DJ Beat2, dance DJ Twisted Bass and deep house DJ Shivani Sawant.
The festival is set to go on from 3 PM until early next morning. The artists will perform across one stage without any breaks between performances. There will be plenty of other happenings at the festival aside from the music, ranging from documentary films to an art exhibit.
The doors for the festival open at 2 PM and the entry fee is Rs.500 per person. The festival is also offering street food stalls, a wood fire oven serving pizza, craft beer, a bonfire and impromptu jams. In addition to hosting Fomo Fest at Razzberry Rhinoceros monthly, the organizers also have plans to expand the festival across the country to Bengaluru, Goa and New Delhi in the coming months.
