Muse working on sixth studio album, slated to release on October 12, 2012
English alt-rockers Muse have returned to the studio to record the follow up to their 2009’s The Resistance. The as-yet untitled album, will be their sixth that the band plans to drop by Fall 2012. According to Billboard biz, band manager Anthony Addis is hopeful of the record being in stores by October 12, 2012.
Lead singer Matt Bellamy has been creating some sort of a teaser campaign on Twitter, of the band’s recording sessions. “About to start some recording tomorrow. What musical direction shall we go in?” he posted yesterday morning, following it up quickly with this strange mashup announcement, “OK, will start on Christian gangsta’ rap jazz odyssey, some ambient rebellious dubstep and face melting metal flamenco cowboy psychedelia.”
