The second edition of the travelling event at the W Goa hotel will feature performances by BLOT!, Sam Madhu and others
After traveling across Europe this spring and Guangzhou last month, the Future Rising festival will return to Goa for a second edition on October 18th at the W Goa hotel. The event, which focuses on immersive experiences combining visual arts and music, will be headlined by New Delhi-based live electronica artist BLOT! aka Gaurav Malaker and Mumbai visual artist Sam Madhu, known for her psychedelic and feminist artworks.
The Future Rising events are hosted by select W Hotels across the world in partnership with Mixcloud, the online music streaming service. For the Goa stop, the hotel has joined hands with Mumbai promoters Krunk. Says Cajetan Araujo, General Manager, “W Goa is committed to offering immersive cultural experiences to our guests through music, art and fashion. Every corner of Goa is booming with creative inspiration, making this year’s theme of ‘Right Here Right Now’ the perfect platform to explore the city’s thriving spirit.”
The supporting acts at Future Rising include Mumbai electronica artist Armaan Menzies aka Zokhuma, Harshita Kalee aka Kaleekarma, Goa producer Akshay Mathekar and New Delhi-based photographer Anushka Menon.
