The theme of the two-day event is “Music at the Intersections.”
Music business conference, Music Inc., returns for its second edition at the JW Marriott Hotel, Mumbai, over the course of two days between June 21st-22nd, 2019. Rolling Stone India has partnered with the conference to address the intersections of music and find sustainable ways to amplify and engage with them.
Organized by music business community Loudest.in and media information platform Exchange4Media, the theme of the two-day event is “Music at the Intersections.” The conference seeks to find and build connections between the music industry and businesses in order to establish viable streams of revenue for all involved. Attendees can expect to network with and learn from the best of the music industry at the inclusive forum.
Some of the curators and speakers include content creator Prajakta Koli aka MostlySane, musician and composer Ankur Tewari, Azadi Records co-founder Mo Joshi, Hindustani Classical music maestro Shubha Mudgal, film critic Rajeev Masand, Rolling Stone India’s Executive Editor Nirmika Singh, music journalist Amit Gurbaxani and Sony Music India senior director (International Music and Publishing) Arjun Sankalia, among many others.
Apart from panel discussions, artist showcases and special performances, Music Inc. will also host sync and music production workshops for emerging artists, brands and agencies.
Loudest.in co-founder and Music Inc. curator Aparajita Misra says, “Music Inc. this year is the intersection between every business out there and music. We have thoughtfully curated the content addressing the opportunity of creating sustainable revenue streams for the music business. These branch out to various sectors where music meets sports, tourism, culture, social entrepreneurship, preservation, advertisement, investment and scalability, and so on so forth.” She adds that the event emphasizes inclusivity and female leadership. With over 100 speakers; 30 topics; 40 artists, CMOs and CEOs, there’s a lot to look forward to at Music Inc.
