Native Tongue is a three-piece alternative rock band from Hyderabad. They released an EP titled Electric Piano in 2007. The band runs an organization called the Chai Biscuit Foundation for the benefit of underprivileged children, and 10% of the proceeds from their first EP were donated toward this cause. They are currently working on their first full-length debut album, due out 2011.
The band consists of Baba, Joel and Benhur, and their influences include  Thermal and a Quarter, Sting, U2, The Dave Matthews Band, Pearl Jam, Green Day, Steely Dan , The Killers, Dire Straits, Van Halen, The Red Hot Chili Peppers , Jimi Hendrix , Jaco Pastorius, Charlie Parker , John Mayer and Mr.Big.
