K-pop superstars NCT 127 are all set to bring their performances to the virtual world. To commemorate NCT 127 Day – a special anniversary for NCT 127 and their fans – Taeil, Johnny, Taeyong, Yuta, Doyoung, Jaehyun, Jungwoo, Mark, and Haechan have announced a three-day virtual event on Roblox.

Titled ‘The NCT 127 Concert Experience,’ the interactive virtual concert performance will run from January 27th to 29th at no cost on the immersive 3D platform. According to a press release, the event is the first concert in a dedicated K-pop experience on Roblox. With nine members performing in a virtual setting, the event also brands itself as the largest-ever official group performance by any band on the platform.

To make the experience as immersive as possible, the concert will employ the platform’s interactive tools and host a metaverse scavenger hunt and obstacle course. The concert will also feature limited avatar item drops inspired by the group’s iconic ensembles, all wrapped within a neon Seoul city-themed environment. As for the performance, the setlist includes their hit singles “Kick It,” “Sticker” and “2Baddies.”

“127 Day is so special to us because it is all about connecting with our amazing fans from around the world, and what better way to do that than to perform to millions of you all at the same time on Roblox,” the group shared via a press release. “Wherever you are in the world, come and join us for a concert performance like no other on January 27th and experience NCT 127 like you’ve never seen us before!”

In other news, NCT 127 will return with their fourth repackaged album Ay-Yo on January 30th. Composed of tracks from their 2022 album 2Baddies, the new release will also feature three new tracks: “Skyscraper,” “DJ” and the album’s title track. According to South Korean media outlets, “Ay-Yo” is written and composed by SM’s in-house producer Kenzie, and conveys a message of cultivating sustainable values as the world marches towards a future underlined by environmental change and the need for ethical transparency. On the B-side tracks “DJ” and “Skyscraper,” rappers Taeyong and Mark have been credited as co-lyricists, each taking responsibility for crafting their rap verse.

Expanding their ongoing second world tour, Neo City-The Link, NCT 127 have commenced their nine-city North and South America tours. Covering nine concerts in seven cities, the group kicked off the tour in Chicago on January 9th and will wrap up the leg in Mexico City on January 28th. Other cities the tour covers include Houston, Atlanta, Sao Paulo, Santiago and Bogota. So far, NCT 127 has brought Neo City-The Link to Seoul, Japan, Southeast Asia, and two cities in the U.S. ( Los Angeles and Newark).
