Following an illustrious year with their double-million album Hot Sauce and its repackaged version, Hello Future, K-pop hitmakers NCT DREAM are all set to make their comeback this March. The news comes a few days after the 31st Seoul Music Awards, where the group took home the accolade for ‘Best Album.’ The big win secures the group a spot alongside industry big shots such as BoA, BTS, IU, BigBang, Epik High, G-Dragon, and others who’ve won the award earlier.

Confirmed by the septet’s label, SM Entertainment via the news portal My Daily, the entertainment giant’s statement read “NCT DREAM is preparing a new album with the goal of releasing it in March. Please give it a lot of interest.”

All eyes are on NCT DREAM as the group prepares to top the success of “Hot Sauce” (the lead single of the group’s album of the same name). Driven by a catchy chorus, and an addictive blend of synth-heavy sounds and hip-hop beats, “Hot Sauce” cruised its way to becoming one of Summer 2021’s biggest K-pop releases. Bright, energetic and quirky, the single also saw the group present a breezy choreographed dance routine, which became a viral sensation globally.

The LP was the group’s first full-length album and marked their first comeback as a seven-member team, following the conclusion of the age-based graduation system the group operated within, and that was rightfully reflected in the numbers the album banked.

A day before its release, it was reported that the album sales exceeded more than 1.71 million copies, creating a new record as SM Entertainment’s highest pre-orders album of all time. Together with the sales of the album’s repackaged version, Hello Future, NCT Dream was officially crowned ‘triple million seller’ group, winning awards at Seoul Music Awards, Golden Disc Awards and Hanteo Music Awards. The group was also awarded the ‘Top 10’ Bonsang Award at the 2021 Melon Music Awards 2021 (MMA) and the Worldwide Fans Choice Top 10 at Mnet Asian Music Awards (MAMA) 2021.

Composed of members Mark, Renjun, Jeno, Haechan, Chenle, Jaemin and Jisung, NCT DREAM are the third sub-unit of SM Entertainment’s boy group NCT (Neo Culture Technology). Debuting on August 25th, 2016, the septet boasts a discography of five EPs, one studio album, a repackaged album, a live album and a single album.
