NCT’s TAEYONG To Feature On SURAN’s Forthcoming EP ‘Flyin’ Part 1′

Following the release of the sleek and captivating music video for “Devils In The City,” South Korean singer-songwriter, producer and label founder SURAN has unveiled the tracklist for her upcoming EP Flyin’ Part 1. 

Primarily helmed by the multifaceted artist and Malaysian producer Zayson, the EP also credits NCT’s TAEYONG as a featuring artist, co-composer, writer and arranger on the lead single “Diamonds.” Other collaborators on the EP include Ellen Berg, Brian Cho, Philtre, Yongjun, Shim Hyunbo and Charming Lips. South Korean rapper-producer Dok2 is also credited as a writer and featuring artist on “Devils In The City” which was released on February 22nd. 

With Zayson ( who has worked with both SURAN and TAEYONG in the past) co-producing the track, it will be interesting to see what musical style and thematic the trio will rustle up. Through her past releases such as the dreamy R&B number “Sunny,” lo-fi/R&B collaborative single “Blanket” featuring Wonstein and her latest release “Devils In The City,” SURAN has exhibited her mastery in the R&B space, distinguishing each release with soaring vocal performances. On the other hand, through NCT’s experimental discography and his very own releases on SoundCloud, TAEYONG continues to re-define his artistry, especially when it comes to rap, hip-hop and alternative R&B, making this collaboration a must-have on your radar.

Earlier last year, TAEYONG showed his support for “Sunny”. In response, both SURAN and Zayson thanked the rapper-songwriter, with Zayson extending his gratitude to TAEYONG’s fans who streamed the track upon seeing it as a recommendation from NCT’s leader; “Taeyong fans, thank you for all the kind support on Suran’s ‘Sunny’!! I’m so glad you’re enjoying the song,” the producer wrote in a Tweet. “You probably already know but Taeyong is truly such a talented, hardworking, considerate, pure and kind person. I’ll always be cheering for him and all of you!!”

Other tracks on the EP include SURAN’s 2021 pre-release single “Sunny,” “Lucky Star”, “Wish I Could” and “Let It Fly.” Flyin’ Part 1 will hit all major streaming platforms on March 23rd at 6 PM KST.
