Sick Society – “Bloody Curse”
Bengaluru alt-rockers Sick Society’s first piece of new music since their 2022 album Confession of The Fate comes in the shape of the rousing “Bloody Curse.” The band stick to their heavy sound on the new song with chunky bass pops, distorted guitars, pulsating drums and steely vocals. In a statement, the group said, “When one’s destiny is determined by their inner demons, it’s always chaos. This song depicts such a scenario where a man is cursed by his inner demons to take down the whole world, creating chaos and recreating all the devastating rules that’s made by people, to take control of people itself. The cursed man called himself a devil.”
Achanté – “Serotonin Skies”
Mumbai-bred and Toronto-based singer-songwriter Chantelle Menezes aka Achanté’s newest single is the gentle piano-aided “Serotonin Skies.” The soothing ballad also includes a string section, vocal overlays, mellifluous harmonies as well as captivating and emotional lead vocals from Achanté. In a statement, the artist said, “I wrote ‘Serotonin Skies’ three years ago for a long-ago love, but over time, space, two continents, and the many people who have been part of its journey, its meaning has evolved to become an expansive ode – to love, reborn.”
Tyesha Kohli – “Fallen”
New Delhi-bred and Boston-based singer-songwriter Tyesha Kohli is out with a brand-new acoustic ditty entitled “Fallen.” Kohli’s lush guitar strums and choice of chords sit perfectly with the song’s vocal melody that emits a sense of nostalgia and hope. The artist also delivers an impeccable vocal performance as she paints a beautiful story with her picturesque lyrics. “‘Fallen’ is a haunting and emotional song that tells the story of being in a relationship with a narcissistic person and feeling unloved and even unworthy of love. The song truly feels like my most powerful songwriting yet and it’s an expression of the emotional turmoil that comes from being in a toxic relationship. I hope it resonates with anyone who has ever felt unloved and unworthy of love,” Kohli said in a statement.
