Dossers Urge – NBDA
Shillong rockers Dossers Urge are out with a brand new four-track EP entitled NBDA. The record houses the band’s fresh sound which includes lo-fi, pop-rock psychedelia as well as their punk-rock roots. The EP features gritty bass lines, powerful drum grooves, shimmery guitar parts and steely vocals. In a statement, the band said, “The EP serves as a testament to the band’s versatility and willingness to explore new sounds, with each song taking the listener on a unique sonic journey.”
Polite Punches – Coin Parota
After releasing a few singles over on his Bandcamp page, New Delhi artist Anahad Narain aka Polite Punches is now out with his debut EP, the four-track Coin Parota. The music includes a mix of indie-rock, alternative rock, shoegaze and psychedelia. In a statement, Narain said, “Each song is carefully crafted, combining introspective lyrics with uniquely toned guitar riffs and infectious melodies.”
Shrey Jadav, T-Rex, Vanishree Sahu – “Sabar”
Hyderabad-bred singer-songwriter Vanishree Sahu teams up with artists Shrey Jadav and T-Rex on the fresh R&B/pop song “Sabar.” The track features breezy sonic elements as well as layered vocals, harmonies and catchy melodies. In a statement, the artists said, “The song revolves around the big city life and dreams and hopes and aspiration with a slight hint of melancholy that any artist goes through.”
Minshul – “Sunshine”
Indore-based singer-songwriter Minshul’s sophomore single comes in the shape of the acoustic-pop tune “Sunshine.” The track is an ode to the artist’s dog Bruzo and includes optimistic lyrics, strummed acoustic guitar and ukulele parts, horns, a cheerful beat, slick vocals and more. In a statement, Minshul said, “I was humming something on my ukulele and he [Bruzo]came and sat right in front of me and started listening. I looked at him and started singing whatever I felt about him, and this is how ‘Sunshine’ was shaped. He actually helped me during my depression and brought love and light into my life. I use music to express my emotions and I’ve poured all my love that I have for Bruzo in this song.”
Tanmaya Bhatnagar – “Izhaar”
New Delhi-bred singer-songwriter Tanmaya Bhatnagar’s latest offering is the folksy acoustic-leaning track “Izhaar.” The delicate and dreamy song includes quaint instrumentation while Bhatnagar’s mellifluous vocals stand out as she weaves one perfectly melody after the next. In a statement, the artist said, “’Izhaar’ stems from the idea of what love feels like at its peak.”
The final two episodes of the singer-songwriter’s tour docuseries premiere on Dec. 23
