Jafa – “Two Thousand Eighteen”
Mumbai-based singer-songwriter and producer Ananya Jafa aka JAFA recently released her hypnotic pop debut single entitled “Two Thousand Eighteen.” The track includes the artist’s resounding vocals, a melancholic production touch as well as introspective lyrics. “Two Thousand Eighteen” is also accompanied by a quirky music video. In a statement, the artist said, “It’s a self-aware song that starts from the perspective of a naive and foolish 18-year-old. But as you get older, you realize everyone was so young, and young people do dumb stuff. At the same time, the hurt you went through is valid. You feel pathetic for feeling that way. I wanted this song to help with that.”
armaan – blueski
Mumbai-bred and Atlanta-based singer-songwriter Armaan Kapur aka armaan offers slinky soul, R&B, jazz-pop and blues on his four-track debut EP blueski. The record also features fresh guitar solos and the artist’s captivating breathy vocal texture.
