Archita Ajgaokar – “Fake It”
Mumbai-based singer-songwriter Archita Ajgaokar delivers a slick alt-pop/rock debut single with “Fake It.” The song features a booming bassline, steely guitar work, thumping drums as well as Ajgaokar’s soaring vocals. The artist said in a statement, “The song was written when I had my first heartbreak.”
Vinayak Rajan – Desperado Blues
New York/New Delhi singer-songwriter Vinayak Rajan recently released his new five-track EP titled Desperado Blues. The record covers various soundscapes such as acoustic music to indie-rock and even pop. In a statement, Rajan said, “This EP encapsulates the cyclical journey of a love story which goes from being in isolation to getting your heart broken and being isolated again. It expresses an emotion that a broken heart has felt, and by the end of it, you would’ve accepted the fact that love is a bittersweet emotion.”
Dear Kokum – “Call Me Baby”
Mumbai singer-songwriter Dear Kokum (formerly known as k o k u m) has finally released a song she’s had in the bank since 2018.
