Last week, we told you about bringing an all-out thrash metal assault to Bengaluru as part of the pre-gigs leading up to the sixth Rolling Stone Annual Metal Awards, with veterans such as Threinody joining RSMA 2014 winners, folk metal band The Down Troddence. It’s also Delhi’s turn to crank it up next month, with an RSMA pre-gig set to take place on March 8th at Hauz Khas venue AntiSocial, with headline sets by Delhi tech/groove metal band Undying Inc. and Mumbai-based thrash/death metal band Devoid. Supporting artists at the show include math rock/metal band Kraken and upcoming prog metallers Pyramids.

The show is being organized by the Delhi event managers behind gig series Outrage Festival in Delhi. Undying Inc, who have played festivals in Bengaluru and Mumbai in the last six months, are also slated to perform at Bangalore Open Air in June this year. Mumbai thrash/death metallers Devoid, who released their latest single “God Complex” last month, will be premiering new material at the RSMA pre-gig. They return to the capital after a year.

Also performing at the pre-gig are two upcoming bands from Delhi’s growing modern metal scene. Math rock/metal band Kraken, who were big winners at the Harley Rock Riders Find Your Freedom Contest and Livewire, IIT Bombay’s cultural festival Mood Indigo’s band competition last year, will perform material from their upcoming EP. Prog metal band Pyramids will promote their new EP Sub Rosa, which released in October last year.

Undying Inc., Devoid, Kraken, Pyramids perform at Casio G-Shock and Rolling Stone Metal Awards present Delhi Pre-Gig at AntiSocial, New Delhi on March 8th, 2015. Entry: TBA. Event details here.
