Building on the brand of being India’s biggest dance music festival, Percept Ltd took merchandising many leagues ahead. After the festival and choppers, Percept Ltd alongwith film production company Viacom 18 Motion Pictures have decided to take Sunburn to the Bollywood studios. In a party held by Joint MD Percept Ltd Shailendra Singh, the co-founder of Sunburn, announced the completion of shooting of ‘Sunburn – The Movie,’ which is currently in post production and is scheduled to release in time for the festival to be held in December this year.

Anurag Kashyap’s Phantom films chose six new directors to conceptualise and shoot six different fiction stories during Sunburn 2011 held in December last year. The crew of filmmakers, which included Q and Ruksana, among others shot day in and day out during the three days of the festival with actors who will be making their debut in ‘Sunburn – The Movie.’
“I have been saying this for a long time that people come to get the Sunburn experience, not just come for the music. And in my experience, it has been the background of many love stories. This is an attempt to capture that on reel,” said Singh, while introducing the film at a small trailer screening. One more reason to go to the movies.
