For all the times that influential artists tour India and go back to their own respective music regions, there”™s always a chance of a continued association. French hip-hop/electronic hip-hop group La Fine Equipe made their India debut in 2017 and it”™s now led to their members Ugo De Angelis and Vincent Leibovitz showcasing the country”™s must-hear talent on their Around the World compilation series.

Curated with the help of Mumbai-based music management agency Mixtape, Around the World: India by Mixtape will release on May 17th and puts together new music from producers such as Kumail, Disco Puppet, Hashback Hashish (jamming with Lifafa), Malfnktion, Fuzzy Logic, Madboy, Burudu and more. De Angelis said in a statement, “For majority of people here [in France], India is just Bollywood music. We want to share all this talent emerging from India with people in Europe and hope to break that stereotype.”

Newer talent featured on the 11-track compilation includes Bengaluru duo Aerate Sound, Mumbai synth duo Paraphoniks, Three Oscillators”™ collab with Goa-based singer Daulat and producer Skyflwr aka Vinay Aaron Rao. The first release off the compilation is Skyflwr”™s “Fake,” a buoyant soundtrack to a late night drive. Rao says, “I was working on a whole bunch of music last year that I didn’t feel very confident about and ”˜Fake”™ was the only track that I felt was release worthy, so I was really happy to be presented with this opportunity. What makes this even more exciting is that I’m getting to release a track on the same label as one of my all-time favorite artists Fakear!”
