Our Favorite Celebrity Livestreams For Every Mood
From Miley Cyrus to John Mayer, Charli XCX and James Corden, here are some celebrity livestreams getting us through social distancing
We’re stuck in the COVID-19 crisis for the long haul, but while we’re here it’s important to remember we’re not alone. If you’re bored of Netflix or Amazon Prime and looking for something with a little more warmth and personality, here are a few celebrity livestreams we’d recommend. From Miley Cyrus to John Mayer, Charli XCX and James Corden, there’s conversations, performances and entertainment for everyone.
Solo sessions and life lessons
English singer-songwriter James Bay hosts weekly guitar lessons on his Instagram on Wednesdays, mixing in a few performances of his biggest hits as an extra treat. He answers questions, offers insight and is perhaps the sweetest guitar teacher you will ever have in your life. Catch him on Wednesday at 9:30 PM IST.
American producer Diplo presents streams of full DJ sets that he mixes live in his living room. The sessions feature work by Canadian singer Rhye as well as the art collective Secular Sabbath and Major Lazer. Catch him on YouTube, Twitch or Instagram–here’s the schedule.
Check out To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before star Noah Centineo’s daily Instagram live for a slightly more news-based stream. The actor is sharing COVID-19 related updates titled ‘Beanie Talk COVID-19’ every night at 12 AM EST (9:30 AM IST.)
Death Cab For Cutie
Alt rock band Death Cab For Cutie’s frontman Ben Gibbard streams live from his home every day (and from now on, every Thursday), delivering hour-long concerts and conversation for his fans. Watch him on the band’s Facebook page.

The most impressive and stand-out live stream sessions are definitely those hosted by Miley Cyrus. The pop superstar has launched a series titled ‘Bright Minded’ where she features several celebrities, activists and musicians on joint live streams. Memorable ones include those with Hilary Duff, Dua Lipa, Queer Eye‘s Antoni Porowski and more. The next edition will feature Alicia Keys, Millie Bobbie Brown from Stranger Things, Selma Blair and Zion Clark.
Charli XCX offers performances, lessons, conversations and a variety of content featuring a different celebrity guest each day. This week she’s set to begin with a vocal coaching session with Swedish singer songwriter Tove Lo, a life drawing class with Los Angeles based multimedia artist Lucas David on Tuesday, and yoga with Ashnikko on Wednesday. Rina Sawayama joins Charli XCX to take part in the psychopath test alongside and country star Orville Peck will give the singer a glimpse into her future with a horoscope reading on Friday. Finally on Saturday, Zara Larsson will round things off with a makeup tutorial.
American artist John Mayer’s long-running livestream show ‘Current Mood’ has made a big comeback over the past few weeks. In addition to performing various tracks, the singer-songwriter features various artists like Shawn Mendes, Finneas and Dave Chappelle.

The lineup features BTS in South Korea, Dua Lipa in London, Andrea Bocelli in Italy, Billie Eilish with Finneas and John Legend in L.A.
With one of the most outstanding lineups on the list, Global Citizen’s livestream series ‘Together At Home’ is a must watch. Each edition features a concert from a different artist. Big names that have participated so far include Jennifer Hudson, Coldplay’s Chris Martin, John Legend, H.E.R. and Skip Marley.
