Ox7gen is the drum and bass/ambient project of Mumbai based producer Aditya Ashok. He is self-taught and creates electronica that blends synth sounds and fast-paced drumbeats. In 2012, he released his debut four-track EP, Any Minute Now. His second EP, titled An Ocean For Everyone, was released in early 2013 and featured two songs and one video that Ashok recorded while on holiday in Goa. His performances so far include Goa’s Sunburn festival, Naukuchital’s Escape Festival as well as the Bacardi NH7 Weekender in Pune last year and the electronica gig series BASS Camp. He has supported bass music artists such as London Elektricity, KOAN Sound, Concord Dawn, Dub Phizix and Nymfo, among others. Ashok also plays drums for electro acts such as ViceVersa and Shaa’ir + Func and alt rock band The Colour Compound.
